De 2023 Biofouling Guidelines (MEPC.378(80), aangenomen 7 juli 2023) definiëren een MGPS als “an AFS used for the prevention of biofouling accumulation in niche areas or other surface areas”. Het BFMP-sjabloon heeft onder “Description of applied anti-fouling system” een vast blok voor elk MGPS, met als voorbeeldtypen “Anode, ultrasound, electrode, electrolysis, ultraviolet radiation or other” en als voorbeelden van harmful discharge “Chlorine, noise or other”. Volgens §10.3 hoort in het plan ook een “process for monitoring and maintenance of MGPS as per the manufacturer’s instructions”.
Ingevuld voorbeeld: BFMP-blok voor SMART FLOW
| BFMP-veld (sjabloon MEPC.378(80)) | Invulling voor SMART FLOW |
|---|---|
| Manufacturer(s), models and type(s) of MGPS | Lamers System Care B.V., Uden (NL) · SMART FLOW (SmartFlow) · type: ultrasound · control unit met 1 tot 12 transducers |
| Type(s) of harmful discharge from MGPS | Geen chemicaliën, coatings of koper. Noteer “noise”: ultrasoon onderwatergeluid uit de transducers |
| Operating conditions / frequency of use | 24/7 continu, dynamische frequentiepatronen, 110–240 VAC 50/60 Hz, gemiddeld ongeveer 5 W per transducer |
| Service life of MGPS | Levensduur 10+ jaar volgens Lamers System Care |
More frequent inspections of relevant area … until the MGPS is back in operation”.
Verplicht of vrijwillig?
| MGPS-type (sjabloon) | Typische harmful discharge (sjabloonvoorbeeld) | Typisch onderhoudsitem |
|---|---|---|
| Ultrasound (SMART FLOW) | Noise | Koppelmiddel, elektrische functie, transducerposities |
| Electrolysis | Chlorine | Dosering/kalibratie (“adjustment of treatment dosages”) |
| Anode | Other | Vervanging volgens levensduur (“lifetime of MGPS (e.g. anodes)”) |
Veelgestelde vragen
