“How can we prevent our hot condensate line from constantly getting clogged by lime and mineral deposits?”

The Problem
At an industrial customer’s site, a hot condensate line (80–90 °C) regularly becomes clogged due to lime and mineral deposits. The high temperature of the condensate accelerates the formation of these deposits on the inner walls of the pipe, causing the flow rate to gradually decrease. To clear the pipe, regular cleaning or even complete replacement was necessary. This resulted in high labor costs, material waste, and recurring downtime.
The solution
An ultrasonic system has been installed to prevent the buildup of mineral deposits on the inside of the pipe. By preventing the buildup as soon as it begins to form, the pipe remains free of blockages and the system maintains reliable flow. As a result, frequent cleaning or replacement is no longer necessary, which reduces labor costs, prevents material waste, and minimizes downtime.
