Are You Ready for the Sailing Season?
The cold winter months are almost over again. Many boat owners are busy preparing their vessels for the upcoming sailing season. Many recreational boaters find it difficult to choose from the numerous anti-fouling methods available. Traditional biocide-containing coatings are becoming less popular due to their environmentally harmful properties. Fortunately, there are now sustainable ways to keep your motor boat, sailboat, or yacht in top condition.
The Ultrasonic Anti-Fouling System, in combination with a hard, corrosion-resistant coating, is as effective as a copper-containing anti-fouling coating. This has been proven by Milieucentraal, which together with Lamers System Care, HISWA, and other anti-fouling suppliers, set up a test.
A prerequisite for effective operation of the system is that the hull must be clean at the start. Additionally, the system must be carefully installed to achieve optimal sound transmission. The device consumes only 3.6 watts per transducer, making it highly suitable for recreational boating.
