Box Cooler Protection for LNG Bunker Vessel

Lamers System Care has recently completed the installation of the Ultrasonic Anti-Fouling system on a new LNG bunker vessel. One Ultrasonic Fouling Prevention system has been installed to protect 4 box coolers (2 on starboard, 2 on port).
LNG stands for Liquid Natural Gas. It is a liquid with an extremely low temperature. The volume of LNG is 600 times smaller than natural gas at normal atmospheric pressure. This volume reduction is remarkably significant.
LNG burns cleaner than diesel, resulting in 95% less particulate matter emissions and 80% less nitrogen oxide emissions. It also produces 15%-25% less CO2 emissions. It is therefore a more environmentally friendly alternative for cleaner vessel operations. For this reason, more and more vessels will switch to this fuel. LNG bunker vessel ‘FLEXFUELER 001’ from Titan LNG is a floating fuel station that can supply other vessels with LNG fuel.
The Ultrasonic Fouling Prevention system installed on this LNG bunker vessel is preventive, environmentally friendly, and requires little to no maintenance. The system can be powered by 110-240 VAC or 22-30 VDC and features alarm notification, eight independent transducers, and complete event log history. The control box records all occurring error messages so that the crew is always informed about possible irregularities, provided the system is not turned off.
