In this case study, we examine the RWS measuring station in Eijsden. This floating pontoon has been conducting 24/7 measurements since 1974 to analyze water quality.
Ensuring clean water is one of the main responsibilities of Rijkswaterstaat. Therefore, they continuously monitor the biological and chemical quality of the water. The RWS measuring station is used to analyze water samples and assess water quality. There are three measuring stations that perform similar operations: in Lobith, Keizersveer, and Eijsden.
This study describes the situation at the measuring station in Eijsden, the problems they encountered, and how the Ultrasonic Antifouling System has been able to help.
