Wijnne Barends has chosen our Ultrasonic Anti-Fouling System for the protection of two vessels in their fleet. These vessels were built in 2016. During the drydock period in 2018, the coolers were cleaned again, and it was decided to replace the copper anode system with our system. In this case, five transducers per vessel were installed on the box coolers and three on the sea chest to keep the vessel free from biofilm and fouling. In addition to box coolers and sea chests, Ultrasonic Anti-Fouling by Lamers System Care is also applied to, among other things, ship hulls, propellers, tanks, piping, and crossovers.
Ultrasonic Fouling Prevention is a preventive, environmentally friendly system that requires little to no maintenance. The system can be controlled with 220 VAC or 24 VDC and also features alarm notification, eight independent transducers, and a complete event log history. The control box registers all occurring error messages so that the crew is always informed about possible irregularities.
