Ultrasonic Fouling Prevention

Ultrasonic Fouling Prevention for the Maritime Sector and Industry

Ultrasonic anti-fouling systems are not new to the market. The principle of the ultrasonic system is decades old and finds its applications in, for example, the medical world to kill certain cells (microorganisms). Additionally, the US Navy discovered that their submarines had biological growth on the ship hulls, but not in the area close to the sonar installation. This phenomenon was further investigated, and it became clear that there is an interesting relationship between ultrasonic sound waves and biological growth in general.

SmartFlow, Innovative Anti-Fouling System

Our advanced Anti-Fouling System is specially designed for the maritime and industrial market. The system prevents growth on ship hulls, bows, and piping systems through high-frequency vibrations. This results in less maintenance, lower fuel costs, and a longer lifespan of the installation.

Ultrasonic Fouling Prevention with High Efficiency

Ultrasonic Fouling Prevention effectively counters biofilm and growth without the use of toxic coatings or chemicals. The powerful ultrasonic transducers create micro-vibrations that prevent microorganisms from attaching to surfaces, providing a sustainable solution for ships, pipelines, and industrial installations.

Sustainable Reduction of Biofilm in Industry

In the industrial sector, our system offers a proven solution for the reduction of biofilm in industry. Whether it’s cooling towers, piping systems, or heat exchangers, our technology prevents blockages and optimizes flow. This saves energy, maintenance, and production downtime.

Developed and Produced In-House

Our Anti-Fouling System is entirely designed and produced in-house. Thanks to European quality standards, we guarantee a long lifespan, reliable performance, and environmentally friendly operation. Each system is custom-assembled to match local conditions and applications.

Sustainability

Prevention is more sustainable than repair

By preventing growth and deposits, we not only reduce maintenance and downtime but also emissions, fuel consumption, and environmental impact.

Sustainable efficiency starts with clean systems

Our technology allows ships and installations to operate cleaner and more efficiently – a small intervention with a big effect on people, the environment, and results.

Highly Effective and Efficient

Very effective and efficient against biofilm, fouling, marine growth on: ship hulls, box coolers, plate coolers, filters, drinking water systems, propellers, and bow thrusters.

Highly effective and efficient against biofilm growth and clogging of liquid-bearing surfaces, such as: pipes, plate heat exchangers, tanks and water pipes.

Technical Highlights

Many Advantages

Suitable for Maritime and Industrial Applications

The technology is widely applicable in both the maritime sector and industry. From marinas and inland vessels to refineries and water treatment plants — wherever water flow occurs, our system delivers demonstrable results.

Sustainable Innovation for the Future

Our mission is clear: a cleaner, more efficient, and more sustainable European maritime and industrial infrastructure. With our Ultrasonic Fouling Prevention technology, you actively contribute to a future where maintenance costs decrease, performance improves, and the environment is protected.

The system requires minimal maintenance

Due to the fact that ultrasonic anti-fouling is a preventive system, it is necessary to start with a clean surface. Installation of the ultrasonic anti-fouling system is very easy. The ship does not need to be in dry dock. Installation can be accomplished at any time. Only hull protection systems require dry docking to reach the ballast water tanks, if applicable.
