The Problem
Heavy gypsum scaling had formed on the inner walls of the process water pipe. This buildup reduced the available flow and had a negative impact on system performance. The scaling increased maintenance requirements and also posed a risk of production interruptions and unplanned downtime.
The Solution
Lamers System Care installed the SmartFlow ultrasonic system to prevent gypsum buildup. The system transmits ultrasonic vibrations through the pipe walls, making it difficult for deposits to adhere and accumulate. After installation, inspections showed that pipe sections that had previously been heavily contaminated remained largely clean and free of deposits. This resulted in improved flow, reduced maintenance requirements, and more reliable operations.
